The Corry Family

David, Lauren, David Jr., Grant and Oliver

Kids say the darndest things......

Ok, David takes my breath away daily with the things he says and I am forever wanting to write them down. I thought I'd share some recent quotes from David Jr........

While standing in front of the refrigerator pouring him a cup of juice, David began rubbing my stomach and said, "Mommy, you don't look cute anymore now that Baby Grant is out of your tummy." He used to smile at me when I was pregnant and say, "Mommy you look cute with your pregnant belly."

Of course we have had the obligatory questions about how his sister came out of my tummy and the constant questions in the beginning about how I was feeding her. I am breastfeeding Grant and the first day we came home with her and he saw me nurse her he said, "But Mommy where is the powder?" I thought I would crack up- apparently, he had seen a mom at the gym feed her child with powder in a bottle and he thought that's how I'd feed Grant- very perceptive. I have MANY nursing and pumping stories but for censorship sake, I will just leave those as private chuckles. He also asked often how Grant got in my tummy- I figured the best way to answer was honestly so I replied, "Mommy and Daddy and our love and God's love made Grant" then I'd say something like "Oh look over there, is that a deer?"
He amazes me every day with the precious things he says and I really am going to try to write them down. I'd love to share them with family and friends.

Too cute! I often say I wish I had started to journal all the funny comments Parker says. Parker's favorite thing lately is to ask me about my "mee-mees" (anything that resembles a breast i.e. bra, bathing suit, or the real deal!). Keep sharing-I love hearing it! How is Grant doing? How are YOU doing???
