Walkway of Lights

Our town has what they call a "walkway of lights" each year down by the lake. Last year, we had just gotten settled in from moving here and just looked at the lights from afar. This year, we went down there and saw them up close and the bonus was that Santa was there too. The really funny part was that Santa was late- (you know travelling to Texas from the North Pole and all) so he came speeding up on his Harley! Big David and I fell out laughing at that- only in Texas- Santa pulls up late and dishelved-on a Harley! :)

Christmas pics

I've been wanting to get a few pics of David and Grant dressed up for Christmas in front of the tree but I didn't time it well with Grant's mood- she was hungry and mad because I had just taken her pacifier out. I still love the ones I got- even if they aren't perfect. What a wonderful Christmas- we are a happy, healthy family of four!

Kids say the darndest things......

Ok, David takes my breath away daily with the things he says and I am forever wanting to write them down. I thought I'd share some recent quotes from David Jr........

While standing in front of the refrigerator pouring him a cup of juice, David began rubbing my stomach and said, "Mommy, you don't look cute anymore now that Baby Grant is out of your tummy." He used to smile at me when I was pregnant and say, "Mommy you look cute with your pregnant belly."

Of course we have had the obligatory questions about how his sister came out of my tummy and the constant questions in the beginning about how I was feeding her. I am breastfeeding Grant and the first day we came home with her and he saw me nurse her he said, "But Mommy where is the powder?" I thought I would crack up- apparently, he had seen a mom at the gym feed her child with powder in a bottle and he thought that's how I'd feed Grant- very perceptive. I have MANY nursing and pumping stories but for censorship sake, I will just leave those as private chuckles. He also asked often how Grant got in my tummy- I figured the best way to answer was honestly so I replied, "Mommy and Daddy and our love and God's love made Grant" then I'd say something like "Oh look over there, is that a deer?"
He amazes me every day with the precious things he says and I really am going to try to write them down. I'd love to share them with family and friends.

Who's who?

Look at my two angels.......someone looks like her brother! David is the first picture and Grant is the second.

More pics...

Here are a few more pics....I got some really great ones of the proud big brother too! Just look at our angels!

Grant's first pics....

Mommy and baby are sleeping so Daddy is updating, so here goes.......We just got these pics uploaded and there will be more to come. Mommy did a great job during the delivery and Grant has done great since arriving. Both have a clean bill of health. David Jr. got to spend some time with his new sister yesterday and was very excited about everything he gets to teach her in the months to come, something about "the golf swing is a one piece takeaway." We are very thankful for everyone's emails and phone calls and we will get some more pics up shortly.

She's here!

Our newest addition arrived today!
Grant Elizabeth Corry
born: 12:03 CST
weight: 8 lbs. 5.5 ozs.
19.5 inches long

She is just perfect and looks very much like her older brother. She does have more hair and it's dark. She has been feeding well and is just a precious angel. We'll get pics uploaded as soon as we can.
Thanks to all for the uplifted prayers- God is so good! How blessed we are!

Halloween 2007

We had a wonderful evening at the Baptist Church where David attends preschool. They had an incredible Fall/Halloween festival with activities inside and outside of the church- literally hundreds attended. David had sooooo much fun and we stopped by one of our friend's house on the way home for the traditional "trick or treat". Now, what to do with all of this candy? Oh well, a few hundred gallons of extra chocolate never hurt anyone!
